Looking at this, I knew it was going to be one of the worst to install because of the front cover which proved to take a little longer than others. Fortunately everything came together in the end and quality really lets you ease it on and peel it back at times if you're a little crooked.

this skin is great quality and scratch proof the nice design and pattern on the skin catches peoples eyes. i think this is great for people who have dull and boring xbox's, the sticky back can easily be applied to the xbox and also removed very easy incase you need to take it off.

Here was where I had the only real gripe with the product. In the event you stand your console up, which is something I do with my XBOX 360, you're still going to have one side plain. It's not a huge deal, but the option to add an extra side for a small fee would be nice.

Typing on any netbook can be challenging for larger hands, but we found the Dot S to be very capable. The black Chiclet-style keys have a straightforward layout, although some of the punctuation keys are half-sized to make the most-used keys easier to type on. The keys are grouped quite tightly, which led to a few initial spelling mistakes. The touchpad buttons are right on the edge of the chassis, which we found slightly too far away from the keyboard to be comfortable. The touchpad itself is reasonably sized and was quick to respond to input.

The 10.1in LED-backlit screen has a glossy coating which picked up a lot of reflections. The standard 1,024x600 resolution is cramped and means a lot of vertical scrolling when viewing websites, but images were sharp. Colours were mostly accurate and contrast was even, but brightness was average. Viewing angles were decent, with little colour shifting at anything other than extreme angles. The screen tilts right back, but the hinges weren’t particularly stiff.

Strongly Reccomend this to anyone who loves little netbooks and like travelling, a nice little thing to buy!

IPOD touch 4g

The iPod touch is, according to Apple, its best-selling iPod, and no wonder. It's the best do-it-all MP3 and video player around, and by some margin. It does so much more than play music and video. It has one of the best mobile Web browsers available. It can take on a seemingly endless number of new features when you install apps. It's incredibly easy to use and it looks terrific.

The new iPod touch is available to order online direct from Apple now. The 8GB model costs £189, the 16GB is priced at £249 and the top 64GB version will lift £329 from your wallet.

To keep ahead of the pack, Apple has taken much of the technology from the iPhone 4 and put it inside the fourth-generation touch, although there are some important differences between the two.
Retina display

The most obvious update is the screen. This is now the same resolution as the one on the iPhone 4 (960x640 pixels), offering four times the total pixels compared to the previous model. This becomes most noticeable when you look at the icons on the home screen. For the apps where the developer has taken the time to make a higher resolution icon, the edges are much smoother.

Despite having the same marketing name ('retina display'), the display on the new touch isn't actually the same one used on the iPhone 4. It's not quite as good, particularly when it comes to viewing angles. That said, most people will probably only notice the difference when they put the two devices next to each other, and unless you're us, why would you want to do that?
Video calling

The next major update is video calling over Wi-Fi. You can call other fourth-gen iPod touch users and iPhone 4 owners using an app Apple calls FaceTime. Once you have associated an email address with the app, people use that identifier to call you. If you're trying to call an iPhone 4 owner, you type in their phone number. It works brilliantly, with better than expected video and audio quality in our tests, although there was some initial faffing around on the landline first as we asked our test subject to upgrade his iPhone 4 operating system.

To buy or not to buy?

The iPod touch is still the best multifunction MP3 player available, by some margin. It's so good, it's not really competing with rival manufacturers' players any more. Given that, it's probably not surprising that most of our complaints about it seem to be that it's not the iPhone 4.

Those complaints might be made a little less irritating when you consider that the touch is considerably cheaper than an iPhone 4. The 32GB touch, for example, is £350 cheaper than the equivalent iPhone.

Here's how we would choose between the two. If you're in the market for this sort of thing, happy with your existing mobile, locked into a long contract or strapped for cash, get this.

If not, buy an iPhone 4. Buying advice doesn't get much simpler.

XBOX 360 SLIM

The new Xbox 360 is, aesthetically at least, a gigantic leap forward from the original. Its glossy black shell means Microsoft’s console no longer sits shamefully alongside our PS3 Slim. It’s a certified looker, with shiny skin and chrome accents.

The new Xbox 360 is slimmer too, and shorter, with a more angular exterior. Xbox fans are already calling it the Stealthbox, and it’s not hard to see why. Switch on the new Xbox and it’s new moniker is even more appropriate. Compared to its predecessor, the new Xbox 360 is almost silent.

Microsoft has listened to the howls of displeasure gamers have been venting for years, and finally silenced the Xbox’s fans, although the new Xbox actually has more cooling than previous versions, with a tiny fan operating quietly inside the power supply brick itself.

The included wireless joypad has had its controls tweaked too. Gone are the grey buttons, replaced with sleeker black versions and a newly chromed Xbox logo. It’s a nice touch, and one that makes the new Xbox’s controller seem less dated.

The included headset has had a minor upgrade too, with a new connector, volume and mute button. The headset itself is just as lightweight and comfy as it always was.

Under the skin of the new Xbox, there are additions too. Wireless networking is now built in, with N-standard Wi-Fi impressing us with its abilities right out of the box. While our PS3 often struggles to hook up to our wimpy wireless network, the Xbox hopped right aboard, instantly offering to pull down our details at the entry of a gamertag and password.
